1. What is L-Care?

L Care is a broad spectrum disinfectant with bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal action,
including spores, with a 7 day residual effect.

L Care has odor elimination and water potabilisation properties- L Care is classified as non hazardous.

The product itself and its degradation products are non toxic, completely biodegradable. SDS is available
for professional user on request

L Care is colourless, odourless, is a liquid with pH ±7. L Care Ingredients: Technical Water with stabilized
Chlorine Dioxide and some minerals.

L Care is a deodorising fluid usable for disinfection or disease control during storage of fruit and vegetable
(ideal before transportation) or in agriculture area, disinfection in food processing, but also of hospitals,
operating rooms, schools, offices, warehouses, kitchens, refrigerators. Or any area requiring
disinfection or epidemic prevention

Chlorine dioxide is a common disinfection of drinking water, the stabilized chlorine dioxide in L Care
has not the dangerous properties of  chlorine dioxide gas normally used in disinfection of drinking water.

Packaging Sealed opaque bottles, drums, IBC or on customer request.
Storage Store between 4 and 30°C out of UV.

2. Principle

The Technical Water acts as an oxidation reactor forming free radicals. These free radicals will destroy most of the primitive bacteria (gram  negative and oxidase negative, most of these bacteria are
pathogens), because these bacterial membranes are not able to deal with the free radicals. The Technical water also acts as an accelerator of vital processes of microorganisms, making them age faster (bacterial senescence), preventing or slowing down multiplication.

Chlorine dioxide is an oxidizing biocide and not a metabolic toxin. This means that chlorine dioxide kills microorganisms by disruption transport of nutrients across the cell wall, not by disruption metabolic processes.

The release of nascent oxygen from chlorine dioxide in the acidic environment of viruses disallows
the replication of the viral nucleic. Chlorine Dioxide has a significantly lower oxidation strength when compared with other oxidising biocides. This means that it reacts with fewer compounds (organic compounds, ammonia, …), yet it is strong enough to attack the disulphide bonds foundin the membranes of all bacteria and other biological material like viruses.

Production Process

An unique technical process that enables to create various types of Technical Waters which suspend, stabilise and enhance the effect of any organic and inorganic component in it by changing its physicochemical behaviour. In this case Chlorine Dioxide and minerals. Chlorine Dioxide molecules are stabilised in this Technical Water, the minerals act as catalysators.

Disinfection Values

Chlorine dioxide has proven broad disinfection qualities. Where L Care resolves many problems that common chlorine is incapable of eliminating, and does not present many of its negative effects, being more economic than chlorine in most cases. One of the other essential factors is that germs have not shown to become resistant to the action of chlorine dioxide.

Why Use L-Care

L-Care presents a series of significant advantages with respect to other commonly used germicides. L-Care permits less use of cleaning water. Very easy to apply and user friendly. L-Care does not present any handling hazards, only delivers some chlorine smell when it comes in contact with organic pollution.Chlorine dioxide (ClO 2 ) in L Care is clearly superior to common ClO 2 gas or chlorine (Cl 2 ) or hypochlorite ( ClO –) in the destruction of spores, bacteria’s, viruses and other pathogen organisms on an equal residual base. L Care removes the biofilm in pipes, tankscoolingsystems/towers and kills the bacteria, spores and viruses protected by this biofilm against common biocides without using aggressive chemicals. The germicidal power of L Care, is not affected by pH variations. The Industrial Water, together with the chlorine dioxide, has an oxidation effect up to 2,5 times more than common chlorine ClO 2 in L- Care does not produce environmentally dangerous chlorinated organics like common chlorine. L-Care is the first liquid with real stabilized chlorine dioxide, without the toxic risks of using chlorine dioxide gas and it is superior to the two components chlorine dioxide products and to the common chlorine gas (Cl 2).

At the used concentrations it is not corrosive to metals or stainless steel associated with even low chlorine concentrations. L-Care has until this day no cases of germ resistance. L-Care does not react with ammonium nor with nitrogenised ammonium compounds, however does destroy phenols, sulphates, cyanides, aldehydes and mercaptans without producing unpleasant smells. L- Care resolves many problems that chlorine is incapable of eliminating, and does not present many of its negative effects, being more economic than common chlorine in many cases.
